Psychological support

Psychological support is a short and focused intervention aimed at people experiencing a moment of discomfort or personal crisis. Unlike therapy, psychological support does not have the aim of solving a psychological or psychopathological problem, but of providing support and listening, helping the person to understand and manage the situation they are experiencing.

Therapy

Client Centered Therapy is a therapeutic approach developed by Carl Rogers, which is based on the assumption that every person has the innate ability to grow and self realize. The therapist, through empathetic and non-judgmental listening, creates a facilitating environment in which the client can explore their emotions and thoughts. This helps the client increase their self-awareness and find creative solutions to their problems.

Group facilitation

Group facilitation is a non-directive methodology aimed at creating a safe and welcoming space where participants can freely explore thoughts, emotions, needs, and relationships. The therapist does not act as a guide, leader, or authority but as a facilitator of the processes that spontaneously emerge within the group and among its members. This methodology can be applied to Encounter Groups as well as other group activities, such as experiential workshops and focus groups.

Person Centered Approach

The Person Centered Approach, created by Carl Rogers, is based on the assumption of the existence of an Actualizing Tendency. Every organism has an innate capacity, inscribed at the genetic level, for self-awareness, self-regulation and self-realization.

These innate abilities can only be fully realized if they find favorable conditions, specifically for humans this can only happen in a facilitating relational environment.

The Actualizing Tendency is present in every person, but can be hindered by environmental factors, such as trauma, abuse or dysfunctional relationships.

Client Centered Therapy was developed starting from this vision of the world. The Client-Centered therapist therefore focuses on creating a facilitating relational environment that allows the Actualizing Tendency to re-emerge.  The Client-Centered therapist has a deep respect and trust in each person's innate capacity for growth and change.

The therapist seeks to create a climate of acceptance and support that allows the client to feel free to explore himself and grow. The therapist does not provide solutions or advice, but focuses on helping the client understand their experiences and contact their emotions and needs and find their own solutions.

Client Centered Therapy is effective for personal growth and well-being. It can help people:

  • Gain greater self-awareness

  • Improve relationships with yourself and others

  • Increase self-confidence

  • Finding a sense of purpose and meaning in life

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills
